Glassell Park is a beautiful 4.2 square-mile neighborhood of Northeast Los Angeles bordered by Glendale to the West, Eagle Rock and
Highland Park to the North, Mount Washington and Cypress Park to the east, and Elysian Valley, Echo Park, Silver Lake and Atwater
Village to the south. Just 6 miles north of downtown Los Angeles, Glassell Park's bucolic and small town feel is surprising, considering its
proximity to a major city center. According to the 2000 Census, 41,833 Angelenos call Glassell Park home, living in 13,788 housing units.
28% of us are under 18 years old and 9.5% of us are over the age of 64. In 2000, the median home price in Glassell Park was $178,000.
As of February, 2006 that number has risen dramatically to $599,000.
Glassell Park has a rich and unique history. We hope you'll check back with this web site periodically to view updates about our diverse,
